Gardner's work enters Yale University collections

In January, the Yale Center for British Art announced its joint acquisition with the Yale University Art Gallery of Joscelyn Gardner’s suite of 13 lithographs, Creole Portraits III: “bringing down the flowers…”. In the Center’s news publication (Jan – April 2014), the Director, Amy Meyers, states, “The portfolio augments the Center’s rich holdings relating to the Caribbean and the study of the natural world, and is our first joint acquisition with the Art Gallery, thanks to the support of our devoted Friends of British Art.”

Joscelyn would like to once more thank those at Yale who invited her to speak there in January 2013 and helped to make this acquisition possible.
