Visit to Nassau, Bahamas

In March, Joscelyn participated in the exhibition titled After the Flood, curated by Holly Bynoe and Tessa Whitehead for Transforming Spaces (TS2014) in Nassau, Bahamas. She presented the video / sound installation omi ebora (2014) inspired by NourbeSe Philips’ epic poem Zong! (2008). The work was presented as the first phase of a larger project.

While in Nassau, Joscelyn also presented a lecture on her work titled Unsettling the Archive as part of an invited lecture series at the National Gallery of the Bahamas.
